Your swap is not moving? Run through this checklist
Five quick checks that solve most stalled swaps. Usually the swap is just waiting on one simple thing.
Watching a swap sit still is no fun. The good news: the reason is usually simple, and you can spot it yourself once you know where to check. Work through the list from the top.
1. Has the deposit actually left your wallet
Find the transaction in your wallet history. If your wallet still shows it as pending, the network has not picked it up yet. With Bitcoin this happens when the fee was set low. Some wallets offer a way to speed it up.
2. Does the explorer show confirmations
Paste the transaction hash into a block explorer for that coin. Zero confirmations means the transaction is waiting on the network. It is not waiting on us.
3. Was it the right amount, on the right network
Put your swap page next to your transaction and compare both the amount and the network. Sending a different amount can lead to a new rate or a refund. A deposit sent on the wrong network has to be sorted out by hand.
4. Was a memo required
Deposits of XRP, XLM, ATOM and some TON need a memo or a tag. Forgot to add it? Our guide on memos and destination tags explains what to do.
5. Is the swap on hold
When your swap page says the swap is on hold, the deposit is in a compliance check. Our article on held swaps walks you through it.
